The secret to a great installation is planning. No one wants unsightly, leftover holes in the drywall. Also, an efficient installation requires less wall valves and piping which means lower costs and better suction power.

Usually yes! Free estimates are available. It’s easy for experienced installers, but requires a lot of planning. Our installation team checks over your entire floor plans. We check and map out joist direction, location of heating ducts, wiring, plumbing, and other mechanical installations. Good planning ensures excellent results.
Building a New Home?
If you are in the process of building a new home, visit our quick quote page, or have your builder contact us now. Central vacuuming systems are easiest to install in houses under construction. After a house has been wired and plumbed, but before the dry wall is installed, is the best time to pipe in a central vacuum tubing system.
Planning the Canister Location and Piping System
To find the best location for the central vacuum power unit and to ensure an efficient tubing system, contact us for a FREE in-home estimate.
To reduce noise affects, we locate the power unit away from general living areas, but in a location that is still accessible for emptying. We ensure that the power unit is positioned properly for best performance. We highly recommend that all of our installed units have a SILENCING MUFFLER on the exhaust port. This reduces noise levels inside and outside the home (keeps the neighbours happy).
To ensure your home electrical circuits are not overloaded, we carefully check the electrical specifications of the power units. We also make certain that all low voltage wiring following the tubing system is safe and meets specifications.
The piping systems we install uses no more materials than necessary. Less tubing and fittings means less costs and results in better overall vacuum performance.

After the Install
After the installation, our teams clean up any debris caused by their work. They leave your home just as they found it - clean and tidy. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE PLAN
Certified Central Vacuums Inc. was fortunate to be awarded a Calgary Homebuilder’s Trade Partner Award last year for the excellence in customer service and product quality.
In efforts to maintain our top notch service levels and to alleviate some of your household ‘maintenance chores’, we are offering a quarterly service plan for all of your central vacuums needs.
Let us share with you what it entails.
Our trained service technician will:
- Check all wall valves for functionality, proper installation, and visual cleanliness. Will be replaced for no extra charge if not found to be in perfect operational order.
- Your vacuum hose, power head and all vacuuming tools will be inspected for proper functioning as well. Should further maintenance be required, that can be offered at very reasonable costs, as are all of Certified Central Vacuums services and products.
- The central vacuum canister/machine will be cleaned and assessed to ensure peak performance and to extend its life span.
- All PVC vac piping that is visible will be inspected and repaired should need be. Leaks, cleanliness, etc.
- Any exterior exhaust vent caps will be inspected and replace/repaired if required.
- Future Service appointments will be pre-booked; you don’t call us, we’ll call you to ensure that regular maintenance is completed.
- Annual cost $399 plus gst, includes most parts & labor.
